Merge[edit source]

Should this be merged with Ainulindalë (Rúmil's work)? --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 11:24, 8 October 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Maybe not -- in order to make difference between the happening and the story telling about it. --Tik 02:21, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
I think the two can be merged together. I don't see any conflict, as it is both an historical event and a story. The Ainulindale (song) is essentially a summary of the Music page, and moreover is already stated on the Music page. All is needed is some infoboxes and categories moved around, nothing much needs to change. --Gaelhelemar 18:55, 10 October 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hi Tik, that already exists in Ainulindalë (separate from Ainulindalë (Rúmil's work)). Do you think think it might not be worth merging? --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 07:05, 15 October 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Well, yes, if there is nothing more to tell about the Music of the Ainur / Ainulindalë than what is told in the printed Silmarillion. There might be, in The History of Middle-earth, at least about the previous versions (which may, of course, be described in the articles about parts of The Book of Lost Tales and so on) and those probably left out from The Silmarillion. The term "Music of the Ainur" also refers specially to the story in The Book of Lost Tales before the name Ainulindalë came forth. --Tik 06:22, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
