::The actor portraying him is a lot taller (as, indeed area all the actors)! What I think you mean is that the character of Thorin in the film looks taller than this. I would agree, but, we don't have this confirmed yet. --{{User:Mith/sig}} 23:18, 21 February 2012 (UTC) | |||

Thorin is a Dwarf, who's average height is 4 to 5 feet. And yet in the movie trailer for "The Hobbit: The Unexpected Journey" the actor is portraying him looks a little taller.—Unsigned comment by MattTheRanger (talk • contribs).

Height
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Chronicles - Creatures and Characters, a book released by WETA, contains a Character Size Chart and Thorin is said to be 4' 10 1/2" or 1,49 cm. He is the second tallest dwarf after Dwalin. --Sandy 11:55, 16 July 2014 (UTC)

- I am not saying that this is canonical. It is a response to MattTheRanger who says that Thorin seems rather tall in the adaptation. However, I have similar information from official Weta books concerning most of the characters from the Hobbit films. Should I add them under "Portrayal in Adaptations"? --Sandy 12:39, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
