"Defunct" etc

I don't like the patchy, unsourced nature of these. I accept that some of these are dead, and some are alive, but perhaps a "Former Tolkien societies" would be better? --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 10:57, 3 December 2011 (UTC)

I should say that I have one problem with index pages - when you search for something on TG, results on the index pages don't show. Is this something we can add as a default, or would we always have to make an "advanced search"? --Morgan 14:16, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

I disagree. As I've said several times, Index isn't meant to replace lists, for the very reason Morgan said. I do agree about dropping the capital S, though. --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 16:35, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

Scope of article

Keeping this list updated will always be a nightmare, and something that TG is poorly placed to do. I suggest including only the most populous societies, and making the article more as a general article on Tolkien societies. --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 20:02, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
