::Sure. From my perspective a foreign language needs to contain some level of significance that would make it appealing to English-language audiences, such as an original interview/letter from Tolkien, or it represents some milestone in Tolkien fandom, such as the first translation of ''The Hobbit''. With this book the page has no information in English - and the publisher's information is against TG policy by not being in English - so it is impossible to judge its significance. --{{User:Mith/sig}} 07:48, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

What about the Italian Diary? Does Cilli publish it in entirety (with parts not included in ''The Companion and Guide'') or are there only those extracts published by Hammond and Scull? (Actually, I'm not quite sure if H & S give the text of "Il Giornale" only partially, but that's how I remember it). Anyway, I suppose the book of CIlli only has the Italian translation.

Then there should be some previously unpublished photographs from the 1955 journey which have a certain documentary value.

If it will be decided not to delete the page, I could translate the (essential message of) the publisher's introduction into English.  --Tik 11:00, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

::::Those are all good questions. I honestly don't know the answer as the page doesn't tell me in English. If this is just Italian translations of things previously published in English then it should definitely be deleted. --{{User:Mith/sig}} 12:03, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

Sure. From my perspective a foreign language needs to contain some level of significance that would make it appealing to English-language audiences, such as an original interview/letter from Tolkien, or it represents some milestone in Tolkien fandom, such as the first translation of The Hobbit. With this book the page has no information in English - and the publisher's information is against TG policy by not being in English - so it is impossible to judge its significance. --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 07:48, 28 January 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]
What about the Italian Diary? Does Cilli publish it in entirety (with parts not included in The Companion and Guide) or are there only those extracts published by Hammond and Scull? (Actually, I'm not quite sure if H & S give the text of "Il Giornale" only partially, but that's how I remember it). Anyway, I suppose the book of CIlli only has the Italian translation.
Then there should be some previously unpublished photographs from the 1955 journey which have a certain documentary value.
If it will be decided not to delete the page, I could translate the (essential message of) the publisher's introduction into English. --Tik 11:00, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
