Just an idea: if "Ulmo's halls"/"Halls of Ulmo" are mentioned elsewhere (later) in the legendarium (even though the name Ulmonan doesn't appear), perhaps we could move this article and merely note Ulmonan as an early suggestion of its name. I'll take a quick look in The Silm. and some of the HoMe volumes - if you happen to know a reference (or if there aren't any references), I would be happy to know! --Morgan 16:53, 16 November 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sounds reasonable to me. --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 17:14, 16 November 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Etymology

I had a thought: do you think a suggestion for the translation could be "Valley of Ulmo" or "Trench of Ulmo" since the name seems to end with the Sindarin Nan (Sindarin noun)? But just as a suggestion. --Holdwine Meriadoc (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 00:48, 27 February 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
