Blunt the knives and bend the forks
Chip the glasses, crack the plates!
Smash the bottles, burn the corks
Chip the glasses, crack the plates
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates,
So carefully, carefully with the plates!

Cut the cloth, tread on the fat
Blunt the knives and bend the forks!
Leave the bones on the bedroom mat
Smash the bottles, burn the corks!
Pour the milk on the pantry floor
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates,
Splash the wine on every door
So carefully, carefully with the plates!

Dump the crocks in a boiling bowl
Pound them up with a thumping pole
When your finished, if they are whole
Send them down the hall to roll
