Third Age 2770 (abbreviated to T.A. 2770) is the 2770th year of the Sun of the Third Age of Middle-earth. Third Age 2770 was also known as S.R. 1170 in Shire-reckoning.
Notable events in this year include:
- Smaug the Dragon descends on Erebor causing the Sack of Erebor.[1]
