Third Age 2951 (abbreviated to T.A. 2951) is the 2951st year of the Sun of the Third Age of Middle-earth. Third Age 2951 was also known as S.R. 1351 in Shire-reckoning.
Notable events in this year include:
- Sauron declares himself openly and gathers power in Mordor. He begins the rebuilding of Barad-dûr.[1]
- Gollum turns towards Mordor.[1]
- Sauron sends three of the Nazgûl to reoccupy Dol Guldur.[1]
- Elrond reveals to 'Estel' his true name and ancestry, and delivers to him the Shards of Narsil.[1]
- Arwen, newly returned from Lothlórien, meets Aragorn in the woods of Imladris.[1]
- Aragorn goes out into the Wild.[1]
- Birth of Heribald Bolger, second child and second son of Wilibald Bolger and Prisca Baggins.[2]
