Third Age 3001 (abbreviated to T.A. 3001) is the 3001st year of the Sun of the Third Age of Middle-earth. Third Age 3001 was also known as S.R. 1401 in Shire-reckoning.
Notable events in this year include:
- Bilbo's farewell feast.[1]
- Gandalf suspects Bilbo's ring to be the One Ring.[1]
- The Dúnedain double their guard on the Shire.[1]
- Gandalf seeks for news of Gollum and calls on the help of Aragorn.[1]
