Thorin and Company refers to the thirteen Dwarves who famously travelled into the east of Middle-earth under the leadership of Thorin to seek revenge against Smaug and the recovery of Lonely Mountain. Thorin's company were Balin, Dwalin, Fíli, Kíli, Dori, Nori, Ori, Óin, Glóin, Bifur, Bofur, and Bombur. They were joined by Gandalf and Bilbo Baggins.[1]

The group's name, "Thorin and Company", was used by Thorin in the opening line of the message that he left for Bilbo on the hobbit's mantelpiece after the unexpected party at Bag End.[2]
