Thráin I (ruled 209 years, Third Age 1981 – 2190) was the son of Náin I and King of Durin's folk. His father was slain by a Balrog and the Dwarves of Khazad-dûm driven from the home. Thráin led a portion of his people east to Lonely Mountain, were he became the first King under the Mountain. He was succeeded by his son Thorin I.
