Tolkien on Tolkien is the title of a newspaper article published in The Diplomat, New York, vol. 18, no. 197 (October 1966). The article is a text composed from elements contained in J.R.R. Tolkien's ?1955 autobiographical statement prepared for Houghton Mifflin and a December 1963-January 1964 letter to Nancy Smith (included in The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien. The article is analyzed in The J.R.R. Tolkien Companion and Guide: Reader's Guide (by Wayne G. Hammond and Christina Scull).[1]
