The '''Valian Year''' is a reference to the passage of time in [[Valinor]] before the death of the [[Two Trees]], destroyed by [[Melkor]] and [[Ungoliant]]. The account in Valian years is not used when describing the events of [[Beleriand]] and [[Middle-earth. There are approximately 140.5 years in a Valian age (apprx. 1.4 years per Valian year).
