Vidugavia was a prince of the Northmen who ruled the lands between Mirkwood and the River Running. He was the ally of Gondor's King Rómendacil II, and received Rómendacil's son Valacar into his court as ambassador. Valacar would eventually wed Vidugavia's own daughter, Vidumavi.

Etymology

Widugawja is a Gothic name meaning 'Wood-lord'. In Germanic literature, it has been the name of Wayland Smith.
