Vincent Trought (April 8, 1893 - January 20, 1912) was a classmate of J.R.R. Tolkien at King Edward's School, and one of the T.C.B.S.. He was the first of Tolkien's friends to die (of illness); his place in the T.C.B.S. was taken over by Geoffrey Bache Smith.
