Mark J. P. Wolf is an American author and Professor in Communication. He has written one book about J.R.R. Tolkien: Of Words and Worlds: The Imagination and Subcreation of J.R.R. Tolkien, which was almost published by Cumberland Press, which went under right before the book came out. He has, however, published Building Imaginary Worlds; The Theory and History of Subcreation (2012), and is the editor of The Routledge Companion to Imaginary Worlds (2017) and the anthologies Revisiting Imaginary Worlds (2017), Exploring Imaginary Worlds (2020), World-Builders on World-Building (2020), and Navigating Imaginary Worlds (forthcoming).
