Justifying this page's existence

I know the standards for which names get their own articles and which get redirects is not exactly set in stone, but personally I've always liked the rule of thumb "if it has an etymology, it gets its own article". But the Blessed, being English, does not have it's own etymology, and so breaks that rule of thumb. I was intending to make it into a redirect, but didn't because I discovered both Tuor and Earendil were actually called the Blessed - making this article not so much an article on a word but a disambiguation page. I agree with you. Since I expanded the etymology section on Eärendil's page, we could move the references to him being called the Blessed to that section instead. --Morgan 14:35, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
