Tolkien Studies: Volume 12, published in 2015, is the twelfth volume of the annual review Tolkien Studies. From this point on the journal is printed with softcover instead of hardcover, along with a more striking cover design.

This issue reprints an obituary written by J.R.R. Tolkien in 1923, a memorial to his senior Henry Bradley.
