Írildë (born Second Age 700) was the daughter of Cemendur, a nobleman of Númenor. Her nephew Hallacar would marry Tar-Ancalimë, the first Ruling Queen of Númenor, making her an aunt of the royal family. Almost nothing is known of her life.

Etymology

Írildë is an elision of the name Itarildë which means "sparkling brilliance" in Quenya (from ita- = "sparkle" and rildë = "brilliance"). Itarildë is the Quenya form of the Sindarin name Idril.
