Írildë was the daughter of Cemendur, a nobleman of Númenor. Her nephew Hallacar would marry Tar-Ancalimë, the first Ruling Queen of Númenor, making her an aunt of the royal family. Almost nothing is known of her life.[1]

Etymology

Írildë is Quenya, and it could be a combination of írë ("desire") + -ldë (femenine agent).[2] Irildë was a Qenya/Quenya form of Idril.
