Andróg was a Man of Dor-lómin, who became an outlaw among the Gaurwaith, the band joined by Túrin Turambar after he fled from Doriath.

Though no existence of a son is hinted at in The Children of Húrin, in The War of the Jewels, Ælfwine and Dírhaval (sic), a son Andvír is mentioned, who survived the slaughter at Amon Rûdh, and served at a source for Dírhavel.
