Aragorn Masters the Palantír is the sixtieth scene of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (extended edition). This scene was not featured in the theatrical release of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Aragorn knows that the diversion alone would not deceive Sauron, so he reveals himself in the Palantir and challenges his, to goad him into attack. Sauron then shows him a vision of Arwen dying. The Elessar falls from around his neck and it shatters.
