Aulëonnar, 'children of Aulë', was a name for the Dwarves, who were created by Aulë the Smith during the Years of the Trees. Aulë himself was sometimes called Návatar, 'father of the Dwarves'.[1]

The Quenya name Aulëonnar contains the name Aulë and the plural form of the word onna 'child'.[2]
