Balin's Colony was a group of Dwarves that followed Balin to recolonize Moria in 2989 of the Third Age. But the colony only lasted five years before being destroyed by the Goblins that inhabited the ancient city. All members were killed.It is known that Ori was taken prisoner by the orcs he died in T.A. 3018 after telling Gandalf that Durins axe is by Balins Tomb.
