History
Belegorn was the heir of Steward Herion, and was in turn succeeded by his son Húrin I. He ruled for fifty-six years in the early third millennium of the Third Age, during the time known as the Watchful Peace.
Etymology
Belegorn is Sindarin for "Mighty Tree". beleg = mighty; orn = tree.
