branda in Telerin means "lofty, noble, fine".

Etymology

Primitive Elvish (perhaps Common Telerin) was b'randâ[1], apparently representing an even more primitive adjective *barándâ (stem BARÁD).

Etymology

Perhaps it comes from a possible Adûnaic *barrad, root BAR.
