Category talk:Organizations

Do we really need this category? The spelling Organizations seems to be the Oxford Spelling of British English that is required by the Tolkien Gateway:Manual of Style, but the subcategory Organisations of the Shire uses a different spelling. There seems to be an inflation of categories. I hardly use categories when I want to discover information. --Akhorahil 16:00, 28 February 2022 (UTC)

I don't see any problem with having this kind of categories. But consistency is very necessary indeed, specially in categories. --LorenzoCB 20:59, 28 February 2022 (UTC)

Typically when I think of organizations, I think of things like businesses or non-profits (charities, watchdogs etc). While these all could meet the technical definition in that they are groups of people, I think some of these could be better reclassified, like the Councils (governing bodies/meetings) or the King's Men (more of an overall faction rather than an organized group) Turiannerevarine 22:21, 28 February 2022 (UTC)
