Celeborn was the name of the White Tree that flourished in Tol Eressëa. It was a seedling of the tree Galathilion, which in turn had been made in image of Telperion, the eldest of the Two Trees of Valinor.[1]
Celeborn was an ancestor to the White Trees of Númenor[2] and of Gondor.[3]
Etymology
Celeb is Sindarin for "silver", while orn is "tree"; its name means "Tree of Silver".[4][5]
