- Dáin I (T.A. 2440 - 2589), King of Durin's Folk who was killed by a cold-drake.
- Dáin II Ironfoot (T.A. 2767 - 3019), Lord of the Iron Hills who became King of Durin's Folk following the death of Thorin II Oakenshield.
