First Age 509

First Age 509 (abbreviated to F.A. 509) is the 509th year of the Sun of the First Age of Middle-earth.
Notable events in this year include:
- Ulmo sends a last warning to Gondolin, which now alone is left; but King Turgon vowed to have no alliance with any son of Fëanor after the kinslaying in Doriath.[1][2]
- Maeglin is captured by the Orcs in the hills and brought to Angband.[1] After Morgoth promises Maeglin the lordship of Gondolin and the possession of Idril, he betrays the Hidden City to the Dark Lord.[3]
