Template:Noncanon In the earliest versions of the legendarium, Gothmog, lord of Balrogs is described as the son of Morgoth and the 'ogress' Fluithuin or Ulbandi. Both 'ogresses' and the idea that the Valar had children were discarded by Tolkien fairly early on.
