This article describes a concept which is mentioned in J.R.R. Tolkien's works, but was never given a definite name.

The Gelion-Ascar stockade was a fortress built by Haldad of the Haladin to defend his people against Orcs. It was located south of Sarn Athrad, between the Gelion and Ascar rivers. It was laid siege to in the Battle of the Gelion-Ascar Stockade around F.A. 375, during which Haldad was killed and the stockade badly damaged. Eventually Haleth led the Haladin away, abandoning the refuge.[1]
