Gollum's Lake was a small cave inside the Misty Mountains and it served as shelter for the Gollum for over four hundred years during the Third Age. It is assumed that it was situated near a small lake where Gollum with his raft could catch and eat raw fish. It also provided protection to Gollum from the nearby Goblin camp.
