Jane Chance Nitzsche is Andrew W. Mellon Distinguished Professor Emerita of English, Rice University (since 13 September 2013). Her research interests center on modern medievalism (J.R.R. Tolkien in particular), mythology, literature of the Middle Ages, and medieval women writers.[1]
