On 9 October 1945, J.R.R. Tolkien wrote a letter to Christopher Tolkien.[1]
- Subject:Tolkien writes to Christopher, informing him that the Inklings propose to consider him a permanent member.
- Publication: An extract from the letter appeared in The Inklings, p. 205: "To consider you a permanent member, with right of entry and what not quite independent of my presence or otherwise".
