Locus 149 is an issue of the American science fiction and fantasy magazine Locus. Issue #149 includes: J.R.R. Tolkien obituary; Tolkien tributes by Lester del Rey, L. Sprague de Camp, Sterling E. Lanier, Fritz Leiber, Frederik Pohl, and Roger Zelazny.[1]

L. Sprague de Camp briefly describes his meeting with Tolkien, and Sterling Lanier mentions his correspondence with Tolkien (consisting of a "dozen or so" letters).[2]
