neithan is a Sindarin word meaning "one who is deprived".[1] When Túrin dwelt among the Gaurwaith, he used it an alias translated as "The Wronged".[2]

[edit] Etymology

neithan is derived from root NEK ("deprive"). Its Quenya cognate is nehtanō.[3]
