The Old Guesthouse or Sennas Iaur[1] was an inn in Minas Tirith. It was located on the first tier, on Lampwrights' Street (Rath Celerdain). It was surrounded on three sides by a lawn, and the fourth was open, leading out to the street.

During the War of the Ring, Pippin met Bergil here. The inn's fate is not known, but it could have been destroyed in the Siege of Minas Tirith. [2]

Etymology

Sennas Iaur is a Sindarin name. Its meaning is not glossed, but Paul Strack suggests it means "Old Guesthouse" and is a compound of sennas ("guesthouse") and iaur ("old").[3]
