Pilinehtar by J.R.R. Tolkien

Pilinehtar is the Elvish name of a plant. The name only appears on a drawing of the plant; Christopher Tolkien describes the physical appearance of the plant as a "slender rushlike or grasslike [plant]".[1]

Etymology

It has been suggested that pilinehtar consists of Quenya pilin ("arrow") + ehtar ("spearman"), features that describe "the shape of [the plant's] stems".[2]
