Radio Times 4 December 1953 is an issue (Vol. 121, No. 1569) of Radio Times, published on December 4, 1953. It includes the article "A Fourteenth-Century Romance" (p.9) by J.R.R. Tolkien, written in connection with the performance of Tolkien's translation of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.[1]
As regional editions of Radio Times were issued in different parts of the country to reflect local programming, Tolkien’s essay appears only in the non-regional or London edition of the issue.[2]
