Arnorians?[edit source]

I just thought i'd mention, the term "arnorians" was never used in any of LOTR/tolkien works. i think we should delete all traces of this term and replace it with terms acc referened to these people, not "arnorians" --Stone 01:00, 24 April 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Content[edit source]

The problem with having moved this article without changing the content is the content is actually about the Dúnedain and their descendants. It doesn't really cover the non-Dúnedain residents of Arnor which the name suggests the article should. --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 13:05, 27 June 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Yea, unlike the Gondorians page, the info we have about the Men of Arnor is almost entirely synonymous with the info about the Northern Dunedain. That's why I included that blurb in the beginning paragraph. But I tried to find as much info as possible about the non-Dunedain residents of Arnor. It would be helpful if others also tried to find some info about the non-Dunedain people of Arnor.--Kulid123 16:54, 27 June 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I guess you can find sources in Middle Men, Men of Bree, Enedwaith. Sage 20:22, 27 June 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Maybe it is best for this article to be reverted back to its former name Dúnedain of Arnor but keep the changes and create a new article for Men of Arnor and have that act as a sought of landing page for the Dúnedain non-Dúnedain residents. I think its a good idea to have articles of Men based on their locale, but we also have articles of Men based on their ethnic group so it depends on what kind of content you what to include in them. I think the page should be moved back to "Men of Arnor" for the following reasons. Firstly, we have a page for "Gondorians", both Dunedain and non-Dunedain peoples of Gondor all in one and its well organized. Their northern counterparts are the "Men of Arnor" both Dunedain and non-Dunedain peoples. With that being said, yes, there is limited information on the non-Dunedain residents of Arnor so it seems redundant to have a seperate page for them whereas it could be incorporated into the "Men of Arnor" page as a seperate section highlighting whatever details exist about them. In that section, it should be explicitly noted that there is very limited information about the non-Dunedain Men of Arnor in comparison to the Gondorians. Nevertheless, it seems more efficient to merge the two and have a seperate section in that article with those details. This could also be done with the "Gondorians" page without having to seperate them into seperate articles because it is completely redundant. In the end of the day, Dunedain or not, they are Men of Arnor! Any thoughts?--Tengwar 02:00, 4 November 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
