Problem with two "Easterlings"

Hey guys I just wanna launch an idea at you guys! So let's think about this... in the Third Age, numerous Easterling tribes from the East (Rhun) attacked Gondor most notably the Wainriders and the Balchoth. Interestingly enough, the term "Easterlings" is used as a synonym occasionaly for these groups. So if you think about it... the term "Swarthy Men" is used to describe a confederacy/group of Easterlings of the First Age. If you look at this quote, it implies that those of both Ages may be derived from the same people:

For Sauron had acquired dominion over many savage tribes in the East (of old corrupted by Morgoth).

I kinda agree with that. Also, if we were to merge it, we'd have to adress the first age ones as Swarthy Men and the others as Easterlings/Wainriders/Balchoth. I think this merge would be productive as even the fact that they all originate from the East, its not specified whether its from Rhun or not, so its just a large term to describe various groups.--WhiteWizard 20:40, 11 October 2020 (UTC)

Easterling infobox

I propose that there should be an Easterling infobox, since there are quite a few named Easterlings (that is First Age Easterlings). In my opinion they deserve an infobox of their own.

For example, take a look at Eagles or Ents infoboxes: there are only 5 Great Eagles that are named in the legendarium (Thorondor, Gwaihir, Landroval, and Meneldor + The Great Eagle). Also, the same goes for the Ents, of which 6 of them are named (Treebeard, Quickbeam, Beechbone, Skinbark, Fimbrethil, Leaflock). Both the Eagles and Ents have their own infoboxes.

Now, consider this: the Easterlings have several named characters: Uldor, Ulfang, Ulwarth, Ulfast, Bór, Borthand, Borlad, Borlach, Brodda, Lorgan, Ban, Blodren, and Khamûl (though, to be fair, this one turned into one of the Nazgûl - so forget about him).

So, all in all, there are 12 named Easterlings (not counting Khamûl): if you ask me, this is a pretty good reason to create an "Easterling" infobox. --IvarTheBoneless
