What is the rationale that the Elves and the Gwaith are separate entities? As for me, I think that Gwaith refers to all the people of Eregion. Sage 06:48, 19 March 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Where does the word gwaith especially refer to the elves of Eregion? The word itself is quite general in meaning, 'people, region'. But still, is there need for an article "Elves of Eregion"? I mean, the "Elves of Eregion" were elves who lived in Eregion. Not much substance. --Tik 07:36, 19 March 2020 (UTC)
This page originally linked to "Gwaith-i-Mirdain", but recently a user broke the link, saying that this article should be about the people (Noldor) of Eregion, since it's not synonymous of the Gwaith; perhaps he considers that the Gwaith were the leaders or an organization within the Elves of Eregion (which would include housewives, farmers, children etc). But IMHO "Gwaith-i-Mirdain" refers to the whole people already, not a separate entity within the population of Eregion. Sage 21:32, 19 March 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
