- I tend to think "Mabel Suffield" in my head, but that's just me. In any case, at least with hobbits, we do favour maiden names over married? Not sure what everyone else thinks. --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 22:36, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, I was also thinking about our standard for hobbit maiden names. However, in the case of real-life people, from what I can find reference books tend to list people under their married name (e.g., Mabel is found under "Tolkien, Mabel" in The JRRT Companion and Guide; other examples are Jane Neave and Edith Tolkien). Do we need a standard, or is it enough with a case-by-case principle? --Morgan 00:26, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
