Mental note: As this article is about the Realm, it should concern the geographic region and its changes through time. The actions of its Elves outside their realm (as in the Battle of Five Armies) should be moved to Elves of Mirkwood and leave a trimmed reference here. Sage 09:17, 22 May 2013 (UTC)

Robert Foster mentions that the Elves of Mirkwood were engaged in a war with some Dwarves. I guess it refers to an obscure referrence in The Hobbit. I always thought it referred to Menegroth and Nauglamir. Can somebody check? Sage 16:17, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
