Third Age 2570 (abbreviated to T.A. 2570) is the 2570th year of the Sun of the Third Age of Middle-earth. Third Age 2570 was also known as S.R. 970 in Shire-reckoning.
Notable events in this year include:
- Baldor, son of King Brego of Rohan, enters the Forbidden Door and is lost.[1]
- Death of King Brego, who dies of grief because of the loss of Baldor.[2]
- Aldor, the second son of Brego, becomes the third King of Rohan.[2]
- Birth of Fréa, fourth child and son of King Aldor of Rohan.[2]
- War of the Dwarves and Dragons: About this time Dragons reappear in the far North and begin to afflict the Dwarves.[1]
