Thorin and Company refers to the thirteen exiled Dwarves under the leadership of King Thorin, who famously travelled into the Wilderland to seek revenge against Smaug and recover their ancient home of the Lonely Mountain.
Thorin's company were:
- Balin and Dwalin, descendants of Náin II
- Óin and Glóin, cousins of Balin and Dwalin
- Fíli and Kíli, nephews of Thorin.
- Dori, Nori, Ori, Dwarves of the House of Durin
- Bifur, Bofur, and Bombur, descendants of Dwarves of Moria[1]
They were joined by Gandalf and Bilbo Baggins.[2]
Thorin introduced as "Thorin and Company", in the opening line of the message that he left for Bilbo on the hobbit's mantelpiece after the unexpected party at Bag End.[3]
