The Tolkien Calendar 2000 was the official Tolkien calendar published by HarperCollins in 1999. It features art by Ted Nasmith based on The Silmarillion.
From the publishers[edit | edit source]
The Tolkien millennium calendar includes six paintings by Ted Nasmith from the new edition of The Silmarillion, plus six previously unpublished scenes commissioned especially for this calendar. The Tolkien Calendar has become an established publishing event, eagerly looked forward to by Tolkien fans the world over; there is much demand for the annual calendar, with past calendars becoming collectors' items. This year's continues in the style of the lavish Tolkien Calendar 1999 and is the perfect Christmas gift for lovers of fine fantasy art.
