About Me

Introduction to Me

Hi! I'm Ancalagon the Black. Yes, I know, Ancalagon is an evil dragon, but he's the greatest of the winged dragons, and I like dragons a lot. I was first introduced to Tolkien's legendarium about a year ago (as of October 2020) when I first watched The Lord of the Rings movies. Since then, I've read The Silmarillion, The Hobbit, and The Fellowship of the Ring. Personally, I like The Silmarillion the best.

Favorites

Favorite Race

My favorite race would definitely be the race of elves. They are mostly chill, kind beings who get along with each other well, except in the First Age. In battle, they are fierce, loyal, and strong, which is what I like in a warrior.

Favorite Characters

My favorite characters are Finrod Felagund and High King Fingolfin. I think Finrod was very loyal to Beren, sacrificing his own life so that his friend might live, and Fingolfin was very brave to go and face Morgoth in single combat.

Favorite City

My favorite city would be Gondolin, as it's such a pure city (well, mostly) and it lasted very long against Morgoth's shadow. My favorite realm, however, would be Lothlórien for its beauty.

Favorite Artifact

My favorite artifacts from Tolkien's legendarium would be the Silmarils. They're very pure, burning anything unholy, and I imagine they're beautiful as well, being made by the great Noldor smith Fëanor.

Tolkien Gateway

I am relatively new to Tolkien Gateway, and I use this website mostly to learn more about J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium. However, I do make small grammatical edits. This page that you're reading right now is the first page I've ever done, and I'm quite nervous on how this is going to turn out.

Anyways, that's all I want to say about myself. Have a nice day!
