Captain of Ships

Captain of Ships was a military title of Gondor, signifying the leader of its fleets.[1]
During the Kin-strife, Captain of Ships was Castamir, descendant of King of Gondor Calmacil. His position allowed him to find supporters from the havens of Umbar, Pelargir and the coastal lands of Gondor, and overthrow the rightful King, Eldacar.[2]
